When all is said and done, The Guardians appear only at the beginning of the movie. After the opening sequence sees Gore (Christian Bale) kill his god with the awful word, The Guardians and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) battle intergalactic crime in Montague. After a quick montage, there’s an extended scene on an alien planet where the Rangers ask Thor for his help, only for the Asgardian to make quick work of the case at hand.

However, the next scene may be the most integral part of the entire movie.

Shrouded in the typical in-your-face comedy of Waititi, it’s a fairly serious conversation between God of Thunder and Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill. A legendary space outlaw known as Star-Lord Odinson is persuaded to dig deep to find out who he really is. Although Thor is not convinced, it is Quill’s conversation that convinces him to leave the team and try to find himself in a world collapsing around him.

The Guardians are not a waste of the movie by any means since they literally put everything in action for it love and thunder To be the movie it has to be. In fact, this scene alone packs one of the biggest punches of the entire flick. You can always count on Guardians to know the best.
